Do you guarantee success?
As the results of a program do not depend on me but rather on the efforts of the client, I can’t really guarantee success. During the initial consultation, I analyse as much as possible the client’s problems to be sure that the Davis method would be valid in the case at hand. If I propose a program, it’s that I feel that it will be beneficial to the client. The true measure of success is not what the client can do at the end of the first four days (improvements that appear all the more striking because they occur in such a short time), but rather the results obtained afterwards through the client’s own personal application of the method. When I see the client a month after the program, I can get a better feel for the degree of success. In general, the results are not only good but very promising because the clients can see how useful the method is and work on applying it regularly. They know that dyslexia cannot be corrected overnight, but they are enthusiastic because of the results they have obtained by themselves so far and because they are now aware of their strengths. The Davis method has many excellent techniques that can be applied to any field of study. The results come in function with the client’s efforts to use it regularly.
Is the program open to everyone?
In general, yes. The Davis method is particularly valid for clients from age 9 on up. As the program is applicable to many types of problem, it can even be used for younger children or in special cases. The main thing is that the client must be aware that he or she has a problem and be willing to participate actively in the program. When we first speak on the phone and you describe the situation, I will tell you if I think that I can do something in your case. If I have hesitations, then I will explain why and will probably suggest that you come so that I can meet the client and get a better idea of what the problem is. In any case, there is an initial consultation for all clients. It allows us to get to know each other: it allows me to study the written work and hear some reading, and it allows you to explain the problem in more depth and ask any questions you might have.
