Dyslexia The Davis Method About Me FAQ Advice - to parents - to teachers Testimonials Contact Me! Links and Books ![]() Licenced and certified |
The following was written by a young man who had become a metal worker because he couldn’t read or write. After the program, he was able to go back to school and is now training to become an educational therapist for the handicapped. "I thank you for helping me at an important moment in my life. It really worked." "In school, I am passing. In language arts, I have made a lot of progress in spelling, specially if I concentrate, thanks to the program I did with you." "We will get in touch with you if M. feels the need, but for the moment she is building on all she gained from the program with you!" "M. is working magnificently. He learns his vocabulary easily just by visualising it..." E-Mail received from a client a few weeks after his program: "Thanks to you, I got up the courage to apply for a job as a commercial engineer in telecommunications. I had seen the ad mid-June and had started my application letter, but then gave up at the idea of the responsibilities of such a position (lack of self-confidence). Then there was the (Davis) program with you and in mid-July when the same ad appeared, I sent off my letter and file. The next day, the company asked to meet me as soon as possible. At the interview, I learned that they had called me in… because of my potential and profile which correspond perfectly with their activities!" Testimonial of the Special Needs teacher of B.P., a 15 year old young man: "I have been seeing B.P. since the end of September 2003, one 50 minute session per week. He manifests dyslexic-type difficulties (difficulties in reading and spelling). During the evaluation, he was 3 years behind in reading: he made a lot of inversions, tripped over complex words mainly. In comprehension, he was also 3 years behind. Spelling was a particularly arduous subject for him. I was beginning his treatment when he told me that in October he was going to Geneva to follow a Davis program with Mrs. Warner. I had no problem with that, I am open and was looking forward to seeing how it worked. I had learned about the method in the book that I had read (the Gift of Dyslexia). I had found it interesting, but hadn’t thought much more about it. ![]() |
